Provo River & Richards' Family BBQ

Saturday was another super fun day. My SIL Nicole (& Derrin) organized for all the Richards that were in town to float down the Provo River (that's 12 adults & 14 children!). I think another SIL put it best, "When it comes to having fun, complicated, large family events, they (Derrin/Nicole) act like all they did was organize a group hug." Well put, Melissa...seriously, so true. The weather turned out to be perfect and everyone had a great time.
Our Group
Our family had a great time. The only hard thing was it was right during nap time. Gavin did pretty good, he just became ridiculously clingy. And it's kind of hard to snuggle up with a little one when both are in a life jacket! Mia fell in once when we had stopped to let some of the kids get out and play. That water moves faster than you might think! Jared grabbed her immediately, but boy was she cold after that!Alissa, Marty, and crew

Grandma & Grandpa. I was going to crop this picture and zoom in, but man is Provo Canyon beautiful!Uncle Micah, Lochsley and more cousinsAnd then there was this cute little thing who is ALWAYS ready to say cheese! This is where we were playing when Mia leaned over a little too far and fell in!After we were finished we headed to Canyon Glen park for a BBQ. Who doesn't love a BBQ in the canyon?Sophie, Summer, Veronica, Jessica, Hannah & MiaGrandma & Grandpa brought a cake for Uncle Micah's birthday (same day as Gavin's). But since he had to leave early, we sang Happy Birthday to ALL the September bday kids (Gavin, Micah, Mia, Austin, & Kiarra...I think I got them all?!)Every once in awhile, you can catch these two being best buddies - I love it!And you can't go up the canyon and NOT have s'mores!
