She wanted to do nails for her birthday, so while Gavin slept, we did our nails.
{Notice something white, fluffy and familar-like on her lap?! That would be the newest (and currently favorite) member of her duck family. Grandma Richards surprised her with a duck on the doorstep with a note that said I need a home, please love me. When Mia first got the duck she was overheard talking to the duck saying, Oh duck...I have sooo much to tell you about!}
To celebrate Mia turning 5, here are five fabulous facts out Mia...
- The girl is smart. Not only is she book smart, but street smart too. She remembers EVERYTHING and you cannot get anything past her! (I've finally stopped trying) She has an incredible vocabulary and after asking what a word means, she will use the word in her own sentences over and over again.
- She loves any sort of craft. Coloring/drawing/craft box/painting/making bracelets...you name it!
- She is a perfectionist. This really shows when she is doing any of the above.
- She has a very loving, nuturing/mothering side to her - but it usually only comes out when she is playing with her ducks :)
- She has a determination that you cannot sway.
Happy Birthday Mia.
You truly are one of a kind and we love you!

Happy 5th Birthday, Mia!! Hope your day was awesome!! 5 year old girls rule!
Wow, I cannot believe she is 5! And quite the amazing girl, always has been. Even since she was a baby. She barely cried and ate like an adult. She was always so happy and content. We have got to hang out with you guys. It truly has been too long! And happy birthday to big boy Gavin too!
