I recently was talking to some friends about Mia’s duck “family” and realized I haven’t “introduced” the entire family. And this is something that we will definitely want to remember in the future! Let’s start at the beginning...…
Little Duck – the Easter Bunny brought Little Duck in 2007. Little did the bunny know what he had started :) Little Duck has been through the washer many times, and has definitely seen better days!
Big Duck joined the family Christmas 2009. He quacks :) As you can see, he’s had a haircut. Possibly 2.
Kara was dropped off at Grandma & Grandpa Richards house in September 2010. Attached was a note that said she needed someone to take care of her. What are the chances that we just happened to be visiting at the same time?! :) You may have noticed Mia’s super creative names? That would probably lead you to question why Kara has a name... Mia received Kara when Tessa was 6 months old. To try to discourage Mia from still wanting to change Tessa’s name to Kara, we encouraged her to name her duck Kara instead. It worked!
Christmas 2010 came and thanks to a letter to Santa, 2 more were added into the family.
*After Christmas Mia told me she was going to rename Big Duck to Daddy Duck and that Mama Duck & Daddy Duck would be married :)

nice to finally meet the family. There seems to be a VERY HUGE duck that I know of who needs a new home . . . he is getting cold in my basement!

Well Hello, Duck Family! Nice to have some background info on the clan. I wonder what the Easter Bunny will be bring her in a couple of months??
You should post her adorable stories and artwork too. That is one talented and smart girl! Thanks for the fun party, let's not make it so long next time.
