Tessa turned ONE on Friday, March 25th. Where did that year go??? Jared was gone that evening (he was in Moab for an adventure race) so the kids and I “celebrated” with dinner at McDonalds.
I tried to at least get some pictures of her on her actual first birthday…
but she didn’t really cooperate.
At ONE Tessa:
- Is walking very well
- Has no teeth
- Can/will only drink out of a sippy cup with a straw
- Eats pretty much everything we give her, but LOVES bananas and peas
- Kind of says “mama”. It’s more of a mamamama….but she says it when she is upset (which obviously means she wants me, so therefore I am totally counting it as her first word!)
- Is a little peanut
- Naps twice a day
- Does not like being dropped off somewhere to be watched (except the gym; she has no problem there)
- Along those lines, is a super happy baby but not very quick to give out a smile to a stranger – she kind of stares and if you’re lucky you might get a very hesitant half smile
- Reluctantly gives kisses
- Is content doing her own thing, but loves to be held while I’m walking around
Tessa’s one year stats:
Weight: 16.2 lbs (0.72%)
Height: 26 inches (2.44%)
Head: 17 inches (6.88%)
Like I said, PEA-NUT!
Of course she is into everything; the contents of every drawer, cupboard, and shelf she can reach are no longer safe.
She often has her tongue sticking out (and it’s long!)
Her favorite place to just hang out is under the kitchen table
