Out of the crib

About 2 weeks after Indie was born Tessa started climbing out of her crib.  Yes, we will need the crib not so long from now for Indie, but I wasn’t in any hurry to kick Tessa out either!  But, since she was climbing out, we figured we may as well transition her to a bed.  Again, we are in no hurry, so for now we have just taken the mattress out of the crib and placed in in the floor.  That way we don’t have to worry about her falling off the bed.

Overall, she has done fairly well with not sleeping in the crib.   Nighttime hasn’t been a problem at all.  Naps can be a little trickier, but even with the door unlocked, she doesn’t usually leave her room if she’s not asleep.  Thank goodness!

Of course, we have found her sleeping in some odd places.

This is taken looking into her room (the door – brown – is on the left, cracked open just barely b/c she had barricaded herself in by placing all her blankets, animals and pillow behind the door)

Apparently she likes to sleep behind the door.  This is last night.P1040952

To be perfectly honest though, as long as she stays in her room, and is asleep, I don’t really care where she is.
