T-W-O!

P1050083Tessa turned 2 on March 25th, which was the same day we blessed Indie, so the poor girl got a little overlooked on her birthday :(  Thankfully, she didn’t seem to mind.

Tessa is by far our most active child (and that says a lot following Mia and Gavin!!!).  She is constantly ON. THE. GO!  She rarely walks.  Usually she gets around in a full blown run.

She LOVES to be chased.  She will take things from anyone just so we will chase her.  And she’s a smarty too – she will position herself on one side of the table and wait for me to make a move and then she will bolt in the opposite direction.

Tessa LOVES fruit snacks.  I carry fruit snacks with me at ALL times and most public melt downs can be solved with fruit snacks!P1050070
Tessa also loves fruit, especially grapes and strawberries.  And she will eat a LOT of it if offered!

Tessa has the looongest eye lashes.  Yes, I am jealous.P1050079
At 2 Tessa has 11 teeth (but #11 just barely cut through!)

She loves her bunny and takes it almost everywhere with her.  She also is a binky girl (but only gets those when sleeping)P1050094
Speaking of sleeping, at 2 she is still a good napper.  Some days she takes 2 naps, sometimes just 1 (and on occasion, not any at all - those are the hard days and end up in an early bed time).

She is our first child to learn how to climb out of her crib before the age of 2.  She now sleeps on her mattress which is on the floor, next to her crib!

In general, she is a climber - her crib, up and over the couches, the pantry shelves, up on top of the piano, up on top of her dresser, on the table, etc...

In the past 6 months her talking has increased sooo much.  At 18 months she said about 5 words, most of which I could only understand.  Now she talks all day long.  She carries on “conversations” with you, and I still don’t know every word she says, but she knows EXACTLY what she’s saying and will continue without skipping a beat.  I love how she says all the kids’ names right now:

Mia – Eea
Gavin – Gabi
Indie – She’s just barely started trying to say her name, but it comes out like “n-nee”

And don’t let this sweet face fool you, she can hold her own with the best of them.  If everyone is talking to me and she wants “in” on the conversation she will yell out “MOOOOM” at the top of her lungs.  She’s also the bully of the family.P1050089
I have no idea what to call her eye color...sometimes they look blue, sometimes grey, and sometimes more greenish.  All I know is they are not brown like the rest of the family!

Of course, she’s throws tantrums like the best of them.P1050085
But we wouldn’t trade her in for any other 2 year old!  She loves to laugh and be silly and makes us laugh all the time!P1050090
