I don't usually get things posted quickly, so I'm pretty proud of myself that it's still July and I'm posting about the 24th :) I love that we get an extra holiday here in Utah; it's like 2 4th of July's...what could be better?! But thankfully it was not nearly as crazy as the 4th for our family - but still lots of fun!
We had a BBQ with the Lynes and Crisantos (although we only got the Crisantos one at a time; Carmen showed up and hung out with us for awhile and then as soon as she took off, Ben came riding in)
Then we went to the Orem Owlz baseball game with the Lynes. Jared got free tickets from somewhere. Besides being very hot (and we were in the shade the entire time!), it was really fun. The kids all enjoyed themselves, even though it went way past bedtimes!

We brought water bottles to keep cool and Mia and Matthew had lots of fun squirting each other (and lots of people around us, too!!!)
We didn't stay for the entire game, which meant we missed the fireworks show afterward. So when we got home we did one box of sparklers before bed.

What a fun holiday!! We hardly acknowledge it here. I taught RS on Sunday (last week) and told the women to remember Thursday this week and they looked at me like I was crazy, they totally don't think about the day as an important one, so sad! Those are fantastic pictures, and tell Jared we said "way to go" for the triathalon!!
Maybe we will see you all someday- do you ever visit Dayton anymore? Are Jared's parents still there? We would love to see you sometime!
This is for anyone who reads your blog: Jamie's "new doo" DOES indeed look fabulous even though she doesn't like the picture! And that is so funny! When we got home we did one box of sparklers too! Ha!
