18 months

Stats:
Wow! Can you believe it?! 18 months has sure gone by quickly! Gavin had his 18 month check on Wednesday and made his biggest jump in weight yet - he is now a whoppin' 22 pounds, which puts him in the 7th percentile for his weight!!! Granted, that is still pretty small, BUT...this is the first time he's been over the 1.5 -2 %tile since he was 3 months! The doctor was quite pleased! And he is 32 inches tall, which puts him in the 42nd %tile for height! Way to go Gavin!
Favorites:
Gavin's favorite things right now are climbing the couches (and then attempting to climb OVER them, nearly giving me a heart attack), jumping from couch to couch once he's climbed up, throwing ANYTHING he can get his hands on, coming up to a person and tickling them (and laughing while he's doing it...he thinks he's pretty funny), sitting on a blanket on the kitchen floor and getting pulled around by Mia, playing with his cars or basketball hoop, taking baths (splashing like a mad man!), and climbing ANYTHING in his way! He is ALL BOY and we love it! (well, most the time!). He also LOVES to "play" with Mia now and when they are actually being nice to eachother, it's so cute and so fun to see him following her around and copying her every move :)
Word Count:
Gavin doesn't talk a lot, but he's doing better than Mia did at this age, and I'm not really concerned. His words consist of: mama, dada, ball, shoes, nana (banana), mul (milk), ceez (cheese), mu (more), bite, ni-ni(night-night), bye-bye. And of those, only the first 3/4 are totally understandable to anyone other than mom. The others you can pick up mostly because he's pointing to the item while saying it...otherwise you might not have a clue! But it's progress!

Teeth update:
Gavin didn't get his first teeth until he turned 1...and then he got 6 all at once - 4 on the top, 2 on the bottom. He is just within the last month finally getting some more. 4 molars have all almost come through, and you can tell he's getting more bottom teeth - they are just taking FOREVER!!! Thankfully, Gavin does not seem to mind/it doesn't hurt him, but he drools like you would not believe!

And the most BEAUTIFUL thing about him being 18 months? Nursery at church!!! Hoorah for him having somewhere to go so Mom can actually attend and LISTEN during Sunday school! He's gone 2 times now and cries when we leave him, but does just fine!!! Phew!

ok, I really still can't get over that Wesley weighs more than Gavin. We need to give Gavin chocolate and put Wes on a diet. We'll have to have the 2 of them wrestle and see who wins!

He is adorable! I can't believe he is so small, but I always have chunkers!
Hey, if he doesn't start talking more, call Kids on the Move. Treyson went there for speech classes when he was 2 and they were great! (Trey said 7 words at 2).
